Drone spraying for your crops

A drone pays off most in tall maize and sunflower, straight after rain and in treatments just before harvest, because it does not trample the crop. Field crops cost €20 to €25 per hectare. Orchards, vineyards and vegetables carry a surcharge of €10 per hectare.

The base price is the same as for field crops, plus a surcharge of €10 per hectare. The minimum order is 10 ha. Smaller areas we only take within 20 km of Opovo.

When to use a drone and when a tractor

The drone is clearly the better choice in tall maize and sunflower: a tractor in a crop taller than 1.5 m destroys 5 to 6% of the plants for good. The second big advantage is working after rain. The drone only needs a passable road to the field, while a tractor has to wait 2 to 5 days before it can go onto waterlogged ground. The third case where the drone wins is pre-harvest desiccation of soybean, sunflower and oilseed rape. Pre-emergence herbicides on bare soil and early post-emergence treatments, on the other hand, we leave to the tractor. For a detailed comparison, see drone or tractor.
